The first painting you see: The Star is one of my favorite painting by Degas. It captures the movement of the ballerina, you can also see her shadow behind her. It's so life like that you can imagine what she's going to do next. The other painting: At the Races, also catches movement. You can see the horse in the top left that it's running and also trying to stop quickly. I like how Edgar can picture an image and excute it well and make it look as if your at the races.
